Painless Fundraising Update

It’s Box Top Time 🎉
Clipping Box Tops is an easy way to help earn cash for our school. Each one is worth 10 cents. Last year we earned about $1,500 for Thornapple. Our goal this year is to earn $2,400.  Its super simple… clip your Box Tops and send them to school. The collection bin is in the Media Center.  We’re not picky how we receive them. But if you want to make it fun for your kids, download the collection sheet.

Direct Your Dollars

directyourdollars

Thornapple has the opportunity to earn $1,000 from SpartanNash, simply by shopping at any local D&W Fresh Market and Forest Hills Foods. Through the Direct Your Dollars program, we can turn eligible receipts into cash for our organization!

For every $150,000 in receipts we collect, we will earn $1,000 donation from SpartanNash. With your support – and your receipts – we’ll be raising money for our school. Simply send your receipts to school with your kids and they can add them to the collection bin in in the Media Center.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13TH SPIRIT DAY!

Spirit Day fundraiser for Helen Devos Children’s Hospital!

Hello, my name is Elijah and I’m a 4th grader in Mrs. Ebels class. I’m going to talk to you about our next spirit day fundraiser, which is going to be Pajama Day! My sister is going through treatment for cancer at Helen Devos Children’s hospital. Cancer is not contagious like a cold or flu. So you can’t catch it from someone. But the treatment for cancer is very painful and stressful for children. Many children have to live at the hospital for weeks while they are going through treatment. So the hospital likes to plan fun things for the children to help cheer them up. Our donations from spirit day will go to the hospital so they can continue to spread cheer to the children staying there. Please bring a $1.00 (but I also encourage you to go to your piggy banks, any extra change you bring will add up quickly!) and join us for a pajama day!

Thank you for your time, Elijah Oppenhuizen
