Dino Mite Book Fair

It’s Scholastic Book Fair week!  Shop online or stop by from 9-4 to pick up books to build your home library.  On Tuesday morning, we’ll have Books for Breakfast.  Starting at 8am, enjoy some breakfast bites while shopping the book fair to get your day started!

On Wednesday, we are open before and during the Art Show from 5:30 – 8.  As always, you’re welcome to shop with your child during their classroom library time.  Volunteer spots are still available:

Spirit Day – Inside Out Day!

This week’s spirit day on Friday, March 8th, 2019 is Inside Out Day!

Wear things inside out, upside down, any which way!

No donation for this spirit day – just enjoy the fun!

2019 Apple Seed – Parent’s Night Out

Have you heard about Thornapple’s largest fundraiser of the year, The Apple Seed?

The 2019 Apple Seed will feature dinner from Slow’s BBQ, treats from Nothing Bundt Cake, 2 hours of Fowling, exciting auction items and FUN! All money raised will go back to our students, staff and school.

The Apple Seed committee will be hosting an information table at the Thornapple Art Show on March 6th.  Stop by to learn more about the event and purchase your tickets.  You can purchase your $50 ticket that evening and receive 5 free raffle tickets to be entered in the ultimate prize giveaway.  We accept cash, check and credit card.

Painless Fundraising – Paper Gator   


Be a Recycling Hero…..Please recycle your old newspapers, magazines, shredded paper and flyers in our Paper Gator bin located in the parking lot. This is a great way to recycle at no cost to you while helping to raise money for Thornapple’s PTO.

General PTO Meeting


Everyone is invited to our last PTO General Meeting of the school year which will occur March 19 at 7pm.

Our special guest, Jeremy Pierczynski, Homeland Security Investigations Resident Agent in Charge, will share safety and security tips related to social media, apps and cyber bullying.

We will also be voting on three open PTO Board positions.

Open PTO Board Positions, SCHOOL YEAR 2019-2020

The Thornapple PTO Board has three open board positions for next school year: vice president, co-treasurer (2yr term) and co-treasurer (1-yr term).

If you are interested, please fill out an application (see link below) and email to by March 15, 2019.  Voting will take place at the Spring General PTO meeting on March 19 at 7pm.
